Recent reports in specialized aeronautical media—most notably a fascinating exposition by Fly News—have cast a spotlight on the groundbreaking advancements occurring within the aerospace sector. Spearheaded by technological vanguard institutions like CATEC and engineering powerhouses such as CT Ingenieros, European initiatives like the CLASCO project are revolutionizing 3D metal printing. Through cutting-edge laser polishing and directed metal deposition, these technologies are drastically reducing the weight of critical components for aerospace giants like Airbus without compromising structural integrity.

However, this industrial renaissance begs a crucial question: who will build, program, and innovate these complex systems tomorrow? The answer lies in the pragmatic, highly specialized corridors of Vocational Education and Training (VET)—specifically, within the advanced post-graduate tiers of the Spanish VET system.

Because of its advanced technical nature, access is exclusive; prospective students must already hold a Higher VET Degree (Técnico Superior) in related industrial families, such as Production Programming in Mechanical Manufacturing or Mechanical Manufacturing Design.
